For enrolment to the 6th, 7th and 8th grades, the Level
Determination Exam ( SBS) results are considered. For the enrolment to
secondary schools, a Secondary Schools Exam (OKS) result is required; the
overall points calculated are influenced by the results of the SBS.
School uniform is compulsory at Turkish schools, this is to
avoid highlighting social class differences between rich and poor students
